Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Tester with strong expertise in Java to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software products by developing and executing automated test scripts, identifying and reporting defects, and ensuring seamless product delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automated test scripts using Java.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies, acceptance criteria, and test plans.
Identify, analyze, and document software defects using bug tracking tools and follow through to resolution.
Execute and maintain regression, functional, performance, and load testing suites.
Integrate automated test scripts with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and deployment.
Analyze test results, generate reports, and provide insights for improvements.
Stay updated on new tools and industry trends in QA and test automation.
Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and debug issues as part of the SDLC.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proficiency in Java and understanding of OOP principles.
Strong knowledge of automation frameworks like Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, or similar.
Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI.
Experience with testing tools like JIRA, ALM, or Bugzilla.
Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
Experience in database testing, including writing SQL queries.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of cloud environments and services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
Understanding of BDD/TDD frameworks like Cucumber or Spock.
Basic understanding of Docker and containerization technologies.
